At G&K, we celebrate! We celebrate to raise awareness and advocate for change around issues impacting our world. In the month of May, we're celebrating:

Observed annually on the last Monday of May, the federal holiday honors and mourns U.S. military personnel who died while serving. Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day. It was first established in 1868 and was named for the tradition of decorating the graves of fallen Civil War soldiers with flowers, wreaths, and flags. The name gradually transitioned to Memorial Day and was made an official federal holiday in 1971.

May 28th is National Hamburger Day! The hamburger is named after Hamburg, Germany, where the "Hamburg steak" originated before German immigrants brought it to America. The birthplace of the modern burger has been debated over the years, but no one can deny the taste of a good burger.
